The heavy-duty RAM-01™ hydraulic pipe straightener is designed to straighten tubulars 2” to 8” O.D., including the latest heavy-wall drill pipe being used for offshore applications. The RAM-01™ is available in skid-mounted or trailerized models, with electric, gasoline or diesel power. The system contains a high pressure two-stage hydraulic pump allowing high and lower pressure to the cylinder, maximizing speed, and pressure when required. Hydraulic powered pop-up transfer ball rollers allow the pipe to be easily rotated by hand. The system includes semi-portable conveyors with v-rollers, adjustable height legs and each section is 8’ 10” long. The power, efficiency, portability and ease of use make the RAM-01™ an excellent choice for your operation.

Mode of Operation
The RAM-01 is set up on location with conveyors. The pipe is loaded into the conveyors and rolled into the RAM-01™ pipe straightener. The operator assesses the bend in the pipe and orients it properly for correction. The operator, using the manual control panel, lowers the hydraulic press downwards onto the pipe. The pipe is bent downward correcting the bend. If additional bend is needed the operator raises the lift cylinders on both sides of the system allowing for even more straightening power. The press is raised back up and the operator manually rotates the pipe by hand to check for straightness. The pipe is moved to the outbound conveyors and unloaded.
