The VEDAQ-R™ is a stationary computerized multi-function EMI system for inspecting API sucker rods. Transverse flaw detection, eddy current flaw detection, and laser O.D. loss indicator are standard on the VEDAQ-R™. The computerized electronics system, heavy-duty center section, sucker rod handling conveyors, and affordable price make the VEDAQ-R™ the best sucker rod inspection system in the industry. The inspection results are displayed digitally in the software with individual channel colors for easy interpretation. The VEDAQ-R™ provides the operator with a very diversified, sophisticated and operator-friendly inspection system. The VEDAQ-R™ is designed to meet most industry requirements set forth by API, etc.

The system is calibrated on a standard at the beginning of the job. The hydraulic pipe arms load the sucker rod from the pipe racks onto the conveyors. This is done automatically or with manual switches in the operator compartment. Hydraulic pinch rollers automatically open and shut on the sucker rod for proper centering inside the coils and laser O.D. loss indicator. The conveyors move the sucker rod through the VEDAQ-R™ center section and enter the transverse flaw detection air-heads, then pass through the laser O.D. loss indicator and finally the eddy current coil. The inspection data is displayed digitally in the software and can be saved to the computer for future viewing. After inspection, the sucker rod is automatically unloaded on the outgoing conveyors and the process is repeated. This system operates with a high production rate, quality of inspection and excellent reliability.
